Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was found in the jet's front window, according to an announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet landed based on standard protocol and everyone onboard, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital at the time.

This event is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet transporting a high-ranking official has encountered equipment failures.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to the US capital after suffering a mechanical problem.
