The former president's Family Member Seeks Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance

Kai Trump can count on numerous prominent backers when she makes her first LPGA appearance later this week.

This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns several international courses and often competes against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she mentioned.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."

"He practically suggested to compete and relax," she added.

"From my perspective, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's occupied with running the country, making him rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has ranking 461 in AJGA listings.

Yet she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He represents the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.

"And he's a superior person. He suggested me to compete, have fun, following the flow."

Kai will face multiple the biggest names in women's golf at this tournament, including world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Officials mentioned that involving Kai brings golf to new audiences, particularly among younger fans.

The young star maintains a massive following and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle company.

The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
